Mardan university student lynched by mob over alleged blasphemy
 

MARDAN:A university student in Pakistan accused of blasphemy against Islam has been killed by a mob of fellow students on campus. Many students have been arrested after the brutal attack in the northern city of Mardan, and the campus has been closed. The murdered student has been identified as Mashal Khan, who studied journalism. Some reports say he was shot, while others say he was beaten to death with planks. A 23-year-old student of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan was killed and another seriously injured by a vigilante mob for allegedly "publishing blasphemous content online", local police said. At least 45 people had been arrested in connection with the incident.
